Course Content
You will learn about basic concepts, legal and statutory requirements, consumer and agency risk management awareness, agency procedures and processes, along with effective communication skills in exercising and performing the various functions of a certificate of registration holder in the buying, selling, leasing or management of real estate.The course comprises 4 units of competency.

The entry requirements of this course are that you must be sufficiently literate in English to be able to read and interpret the legislation and to complete the Office of Fair Trading forms. Sample forms can be found at http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/About_us/Forms.html#residential_tenancy_forms
The outcome of this academic course will provide you with the skills set to apply to the Office of Fair Trading for a Certificate of Registration.
To gain your Certificate of Registration from the Office of Fair Trading you must be at least 16 years of age (www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au).
Assessment
You will have activities and assessments that you need to submit for marking on completion of the course.
These are marked using competency based assessment - that is you are either "Competent" or "Not Yet Competent". There is no grading of assessments.
